Myllenbeck, Louis (16 January 1898 - 4 March 1965)

 

Funeral services were conducted Monday forenoon from the Georgas Funeral Home for Louis Myllenbeck, 67, of River Falls. The Rev. E. G. Burtness officiated.  Burial was made in the Town of Grant Cemetery.

 

Mr. Myllenbeck was born January 16, 1898, in Woodstock, Minn.  He attended schools there and graduated from the Tyler, Minn., high school.

 

He was a former resident of Granton area, having worked as a mechanic and highway construction work in this area for six years, leaving Granton in 1929.  He farmed in Minnesota, and after retiring, two years ago, resided in River Falls.  He was married November 13, 1923, to the former Ethel Ferguson, in Kaukauna.

 

Mr. Myllenbeck is survived by his wife; two children, Wallace of St. Paul, Minn., and Mrs. Ernie (Joan) Swanson of Rochester, Minn.; and a sister, Mrs. Lottie Knoop of Tyler, Minn.

 

"Heaven is My Home" and "Abide with Me" were sung by Wilfred B. Galstad, accompanied by Kathleen Galstad.

 

Pallbearers were: Walter Larsen, Hugo and Walter Trimberger, Carl Bladl, Alfred Moldenhauer, and Roland Quicker.

 

People from away attending the service included: Mrs. Ethel Myllenbeck, Miss Esther Ferguson and Miss Cleone Maton of River Falls; Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Myllenbeck, Steven and Claudia Myllenbeck of St. Paul, Minn.; Mrs. Ernie Swanson, Paula and Cathy and Gerald Goepfert of Rochester, Minn.; Mrs. John Goepfert, Jack Gaddy and Charles Goepfert of Grantsburg; Mrs. Lottie Knoop of Tyler, Minn.; George Tjaden of Hendrick, Minn.; Mrs. Edward Seehafer of Marshfield; Lillian Hankey of Milwaukee; Mabel Ferguson of Arpin; from the Granton area were: Mr. and Mrs. Walter Trimberger, Hugo Trimberger, Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Moldenhauer and daughter, Roland Quicker and Carl Bladl.
