Albert Davel of Loyal was honored May 1 at a Golden jubilee banquet in Marshfield as a charter member of the Knights of Columbus. Among those from the Loyal area attending were: Mr. and Mrs. Davel, Mr. and Mrs. Max Langfeldt, Mr. and Mrs. James Bertz, and Mr. and Mrs. James Christenson, all of Loyal; and Mr. and Mrs. Mick Wagner of Greenwood.
Open house will be held May 16 in Trinity parish hall in Greenwood honoring Mr. and Mrs. Reno Herdrich on their 40th wedding anniversary.
The Loyal Rotary club has been presented the troop charter for Boy Scout Troop, 49, sponsored by the club. The charter was presented by Joseph Kieting of Thorp, who represented the Chippewa Valley Boy Scout Council to Vern Rogstad, president of the Loyal Rotary club.
The Odd Fellow and Rebekah Lodges attended a district meeting May 1, in Withee. Those from Loyal attending were: Mrs. Nettie Philpott, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Giese, Mr. and Mrs. Ben Grambsch and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Kline.
Mr. and Mrs. James Christenson of Loyal attended a postal clerk’s meeting in Wausau, April 29
Mrs. Floyd Christie has returned to Loyal from Memorial Hospital in Neillsville, where she received care for injuries suffered in a fall down the stairs.
Recent guests at the George Zuehlke home in Loyal were Mr. and Mrs. Rudolph Wenzel of Sullivan and Mr. and Mrs. Walter Radke of Oconomowoc. The three ladies are sisters.
Recent visitors at the Haskell Catlin home in Loyal were their son, Franklin, and a friend, Mr. Serenea, a pre-medical student from Guam, who is attending the Wisconsin State University - Eau Claire.
Mike Weyer of loyal underwent surgery in Memorial Hospital, Neillsville, recently.
