Schlichter, Sharon A. (Marriage - 15 May 1965)

Miss Sharon A. Schlichter, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Schlichter of Humbird, and Stanley P. Adler, son of Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Adler of Humbird, exchanged marriage vows at a 10 a.m. ceremony Saturday in St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Fairview, near Humbird.  The Rev. Mathew Molinaro performed the double ring ceremony.

Entering the church with her father, the bride was attired in a white floor-length gown of silk organza.  Seed pearls studded the scoop neckline, and modified sheath front of the fitted Empire bodice. A chapel train cascaded from the back of the gown.  Her shoulder-length veil was matching silk organza butterfly veil.  Her bridal bouquet was made up of red roses with white streamers and white stephanotis.

Miss. Kathryn Schlichter was her sister’s maid of honor.  Bridesmaids were Miss Jo Ann Nemitz of Eau Claire and Miss Iris Bieneck of Neillsville.

The groom was attended by Theodore Martens of Milwaukee, as best man.  Groomsmen were Orland Staves and Harlan Bemis, both of Humbird.  Ushers were Roy Hefty of Humbird, and Larry Adler of Wildwood, Ill.

The wedding dinner was served in the church dining hall, and a reception was held in the American Legion Hall in Humbird.

Mr. and Mrs. Adler are making their home in Eau Claire.
