Northern Clark County (20 May 1965)

 

Mrs. Robert Blazel and two daughters of Omaha, Nebr., and Mrs. William Sauerwien of Holcombe, were recent callers at the Blazel home in Thorp.

 

Mr. and Mrs. James Danielewicz of Mt. Horeb were recent guests at the Steve Danielewicz home in Thorp.

 

Daniel C. Alger, AA, of Pensacola, Fla., who recently spent a furlough with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Cyril Alger of Thorp, is now stationed in Memphis, Tenn.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Benzschawel have returned to Thorp after spending a weekend in St. Paul, Minn., with the Robert Lutken and Ed Sawczuk families. While there they attended the first communion of Allan Sawczuk.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Donald Van Loo of St. Paul, Minn., were recent weekend guests of his mother, Mrs. Kate Van Loo, in Thorp.

 

Guests recently at the Mike Niedzwiecki home in Thorp were Mr. and Mrs. Jake Niedzwiecki and family, Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Niedzwiecki, Sr., Mrs. Andrew Nowobielski and the Clarence Nowobielski family.  The occasion was the first communion of Cathy Niedzwiecki.

 

Isaac Sischo of Thorp has moved to Stanley, where he is a resident of a nursing home.

 

Mr. and Mrs. D. A. Armstrong of Abbotsford drove to Madison recently to visit their son, Jack, of Park Falls, who underwent surgery for a detached retina in University Hospital. 

 

Sonia Gosse, five-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dam Gosse of Marathon, underwent an appendectomy recently.  Her brother, Jimmy stayed in Dorchester with his grandmother, Mrs. Doris Gosse.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Myron Wepfer and family have returned to Abbotsford after attending funeral services in Berlin for Mrs. Wepfer’s father, George Thompson, 67, who died of a heart attack.

 

Recent dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Reeves of Abbotsford were their son, Gerry Reeves, and his family of St. Paul, Minn. 

 

Mr. and Mrs. Fred Wilhelmi of Abbotsford visited Mrs. Elna Wilhelmi in Marshfield. She has sold her house there and is moving to Green Bay, where she has purchased another house.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Wayne L. Luehrs of Minneapolis, Minn., spent a weekend in Abbotsford with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Wilhelmi.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Emery Rahm of Abbotsford entertained relatives for dinner following the baptism of their infant son, Michael Emery, by the Rev. Wallace Hermann.  His sponsors were Mrs. Emil Wolk and William Rahm.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Clair Ewert and son have returned to Fond du Lac after spending several days at the Lester Ewert home in Unity.

 

Mrs. Faith Matson of Ellsworth visited two days recently at the B. W. Mabbott home in Unity. She was accompanied by Barbara and Wayne Field.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Mike Greaser and daughter of Abbotsford were recent guests at the Ted Domer home in Unity.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Galen Misfeldt of Withee and Mrs. Gordon Groseth of Chippewa Falls drove recently to Fridley, Minn., to visit their aunt, Mrs. Ida Nippert, 68, who was a victim of the recent tornado. She was injured when a trailer house fell on her, pinning her underneath for approximately an hour.  Mrs. Nippert had both legs (the rest of the incident is missing).
