Kieser, Muriel Edith (Marriage - 5 June 1965)

Christ Lutheran Church in Abbotsford was the setting Saturday, for the 4 p.m. wedding of Miss Muriel Edith Kieser, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gottlieb G. Kieser of Abbotsford, and Warren Harold Puhl, son of Mrs. Adel Puhl of Colfax.

Officiating at the double ring ceremony was the Rev. F. H. Sprengler.  Robert Lee Benson of Abbotsford played nuptial organ music.  During the ceremony, Herbert Juneau of New Lisbon sang, "O Perfect Love" and "The Lord Bless You," accompanied by Mr. Benson.

The bride was attired in a gown of peau de soie in floor length style. The princess line of the skirt was accented at the back by a court lace train. The fitted Basque bodice was fashioned with long, tapered sleeves and a scoop neckline, complimenting the lace mock bolero. A double crown of pearls and crystals held her bouffant veil of sheer illusion.  She carried a prayer book topped with an arrangement of phalaenopsis and stephanotis.

Bridal aides were Miss Marjorie Kieser of Eau Claire, as maid-of-honor; and Miss Sylvia Puhl of Colfax as bridesmaid.

The groom’s attendants were Richard Puhl of Eau Claire, bestman; Vernon Kressin of Colfax, groomsman; and Dennis Kieser and Quintin Quade, ushers.

A reception and dinner was held in the parish hall.

The bride was graduated in 1959 from Abbotsford High School and is employed as secretary for the Abbotsford Public Schools.

Mr. Puhl is a 1957 graduate of Colfax High School and in1961 was graduated from Wisconsin State University in Eau Claire.  IN 1964 he received his Master’s degree in natural science from Highlands University in Las Vegas, N. M.  He will be an instructor in the chemistry department at Wisconsin State University in Menomonie beginning September 1.

Mr. and Mrs. Puhl left on a wedding trip to northern Wisconsin. In August they will move to Menomonie.
