  Weyer, John (15 DEC 1885 - 26 JUNE 1959)

John Weyer, 73 died at 2:20 a.m. Friday, at his home in Loyal.  Death being the result of old age complications.

He was born at Slinger, December 15, 1885.  He married Helen Redig at St. Lawrence, May 16, 1911.  His education was received at Slinger where he lived until his marriage.  Soon after marriage he moved to a farm in the town of Loyal where he lived until 1945 when the family moved into the City of Loyal.

He was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, the Holy Name Society, and Catholic Foresters.

He is survived by his wife of Loyal; Andrew of Phoenix, Ariz.; Mrs. Greg (Coletta) Tasse, Marshfield: Alex of Seattle, Wash.; Michael, Richard, Robert and George of Loyal; Mrs. Scharol (Anna) Foat, Waukesha; and Mrs. Donald (Rosa) Bord, Wis. Rapids.  There are 45 living grandchildren.  Two sisters, Sr. Mary Therese of Cleveland, Ohio, and Mrs. Mary Heintskill of Milwaukee survive.

A daughter, Marie Margaret died at the age of 10 months and two brothers, two sisters and one grandchild, Sandra Bord, are deceased.

A general rosary was held at the Myre Funeral Home at 8 p.m. Sunday.

A Solemn Requiem High Mass was held at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Anthony’s Catholic Church with  Rev.  Andrew Redig of Saukville officiating as Celebrant, Rev. Edward Hartung, of Greenwood as Deacon, and Rev. Norbert King as Sub-deacon.

Pallbearers were John Gerdes, Bernard Davel, James Roder, Frank Degenhardt, Frank Wolf, and Roland Bauer.  Burial was in the parish cemetery.

Attending from out of town were: Mr. and Mrs. Greg Tasse, Joe and Rita, Mike Redig, Mr. and Mrs. Mike Weber, Mr. and Mrs. John Weber, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Kaiser, Marie Wesley and Mr. and Mrs. Joe Magadenz and daughters, Marshfield; Mr. and Mrs. Scharol Foat, Sherry, Mike and Pat and Mr. and Mrs. Emery Foat, Waukesha; Mr. and Mrs. Donald Bord and Mr. and Mrs. James Bord, Wisconsin Rapids;  Mr. and Mrs. Art Fehring, Mr. Ed Redig and Mr. and Mrs. John Wagner, West Bend; Francis Elsinger, Oshkosh; Mr. and Mrs. Otto Krebs, Hartford; Mrs. Wilmer Ziegwerd and Rita, Arcadia; Mr. and Mrs. Peter Meyer, Mrs. Veronica Gabby, and Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Meyer and Marcella, Stratford; Mr. and Mrs. Joe Weyer and Mr. and Mrs. Alex Weyer, Menomonee Falls; Mr. Clem Fehring and Bernard Fehring, Sturgeon Bay; Mr. and Mrs. Mary Heintskill, Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Carl Portz, Chicago, Ill; and Philip Redig and Rev. Andrew Redig, Saukville.
