GUSTAVE WALTER PASSES AWAY FRIDAY EVENING

 

Gustave Walter, 72, a resident of the town of Sherman for the past 20 years, died Friday evening, Nov. 28, 1940, at six o’clock.  Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at Trinity Lutheran church in Spencer, Rev. A.C. Staple officiating, with interment in the West Spencer cemetery.

 

Deceased was born in Germany on March 6, 1868.  He moved to Canada with his parents when but four years old.  The family moved later to Minnesota where he was united in marriage to Miss Amelia Mueller in Elmore on Jan. 5, 1898.

 

Besides the widow, he is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Ed. Corbett, Hillman, Minn., and Mrs.  Adeline Oestreich and Mrs. Ed. Rohloff, Loyal; two sons, Daniel Walter, at home, and Carl Walter, Pueblo, Colo.; two brothers, Emil Walter, Elmore, Minn., and Julius Walter, who lives in Michigan, and 16 grandchildren.
