Watson, Mary (12 JUL 1880 - 27 SEP 1963)

 

Services were held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 30, at Hoeper and Kraut Funeral Home for Mrs. John (Mary) Watson, 83, who died of a coronary attack at Stanley Memorial Hospital Friday.  The Rev. Lauri J. Isaacson, pastor of the Bethany Lutheran Church officiated and burial was made at Riverside Cemetery at Withee.

 

Pallbearers were Antii Kallio, Toivo Kallio, Voito Riihinen, William Maki, Arvo Sormunen and Arno Laakso.

 

The former Mary Hill was born July 12, 1880, in Finland.  Her marriage to John Watson took place March 25, 1901, at Crystal Falls, Mich.  The couple came to the Owen area (Clark Co., Wis.) in 1911 and farmed in the town of Hoard until 1947, when they retired and moved to Owen.

 

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Eaner, Abbotsford; two daughters, Mrs. Esther Miletich, North Chicago, Ill., and Mrs. Lillian Huggard, Waukegan, Ill.; five grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

 

She was preceded in death by a son and a grandson.
