FUNERAL SERVICES FOR MRS. GEO. PIPER

 

The funeral of Mrs. George Piper, 70, was held at the Swarthout Funeral Home on Sunday afternoon conducted by Rev. J. A. Olson of Unity with interment in the Brighton cemetery.  Mrs. Piper died in St. Joseph hospital, Marshfield, at 4:00 a.m. Thursday Jan. 23, 1941, as the result of a fractured hip when she fell at her home the Sunday morning previous.

 

Jenny Mason was born in Iowa Jan. 26, 1870.  On June 17, 1923, she was married in Spencer to George Piper.  After living in Spencer four years, they moved to St. Louis, Mo., where they lived 10 years, and four years ago came back here and bought their home in the north part of the village.

 

Besides her husband, she leaves one son, John Renult, St. Louis, Mo.; two daughters, Mrs. Gus Carlson (Myrtle), Unity and Mrs. Edwin Johnson (Grace), Chicago, Ill.; one sister, Mrs. Levan of Murphysville, Ill., 11 grandchildren and two great grandchildren to mourn her demise.
