Demuth, Sue Elaine (15 Aug 1959)
On a wedding trip to Florida are the former Sue Elaine Demuth and Donald Leo Piirainen. The couple was married at 3 p.m. Saturday, August 15, in the Loyal Methodist Church with the Rev. Mr. Alfred Attwood officiating.
White Chantilly lace fashioned the floor length gown of the bride. Long sleeves and a sweetheart neckline detailed the fitted bodice. She chose pearls for her jewelry. Her finger tip veil was attached to a cap style headpiece. Her flowers were yellow roses and white mums.
The bride, daughter of Mrs. William Demuth of Loyal, chose for her maid of honor her sister, Miss Connie Demuth, and for her bridesmaid, another sister Miss Kay Demuth. Each wore identical turquoise gowns with white hats and other accessories of white, their jewelry was pearls, and each carried an arrangement of white mums and daisies.
Best man for the son of Mr. and Mrs. Leo Piirainen of Milwaukee was Gary Korman of Sault Sainte Marie, Mich., cousin of the groom. Wayne Demuth, brother of the bride, was groomsman. Ushers were Richard Hansen, Granton and Kenneth Verhalen, Loyal.
Mrs. Demuth attended her daughter’s wedding in a black eyelet dress with white accessories and the groom’s mother wore blue lace with white accessories.
Baskets of flowers and lighted candles decorated the sanctuary of the church. Mrs. Byron Zepplin was organist.
Turquoise and white streamers and white bells decorated the church dining room where a dinner and reception were held.
