Funeral Services for William Louis Hebert

Another Pioneer Passes On In the Death of This Well Known Man Who Came to This Community in 1871.

 

William Louis Hebert, 75 died Thursday evening at 9:30 at his home in the township of Unity, eight miles northwest of Spencer.  Mr. Hebert was the son of Anthony and Julia Hebert who came to Wisconsin from Canada.  He was born at Fond du Lac August 20, 1865, and came to this vicinity with his parents in 1871.  On October 28, 1891 he was married to Mabel Pickett, who preceded him in death.  He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Fred (Myrtle) Meacham, Loyal, and Mrs. Frank (Edna) Bishop, Riplinger; four sons, Lloyd, Forrest, Glen and Harvey; one brother, Joseph, Bear Creek; 19 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

 

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Meacham, Rev. Jewett officiating.  Rev. and Mrs. Jewett sang "Jesus Leads" and "In the Garden."  Interment was in the Spencer cemetery.  The four sons and two sonsinlaw were pall bearers.  Those from out of town who attended the funeral were Jos. Hebert, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Klein, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Tyrrell, Black Creek; Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Hebert, Stratford; Mr. and Mrs. Dave Hebert, Unity; Mr. and Mrs. Roy Powers and family of Baraboo.
