Polzin, Karen Mae (Marriage - 16 October 1965)

Bouquets of yellow chrysanthemums and bronze asters graced the altar of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Greenwood for the wedding Saturday of Karen Mae Polzin, daughter of Mrs. Eula Polzin of Rt. 2, Greenwood, and Harry James Heckel, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Heckel of Rt. 3 Marshfield.  The double ring ceremony was performed by the Rev. Edward Hartung.

The bride, given in marriage by her brother-in-law, George Moore, Jr., entered the church attired in a white floor length gown of Chantilly type lace, enhanced with miniature seed pearls and sequins at the neckline and front bodice. A bow accented the back of the dress. A simulated pearl and crystal bus crown held her fingertip veil of pure silk illusion. She carried a cascade arrangement of white chrysanthemums and yellow roses, entwined with ivy.

Mrs. George (Marie) Moore of Greenwood was her matron-of-honor. Bridesmaid was Mrs. Jerome (Pat) Heckel of Mosinee. The attendants wore identical Emerald green sheaths with full overskirt and matching headpieces.

Jerome Heckle of Mosinee was bestman. George Moore, Jr., of Greenwood was groomsman. Ushers were Norbert Heckel of Marshfield and Tim Moore of Greenwood.

Mr. and Mrs. Heckel are residing on Rt. 3, Marshfield, where the groom is engaged in farming.  Mrs. Heckel has been employed in Marshfield.
