Piekarz, Anna (10 JUL 1881 - 1 JAN 1960)

 

Anna Piekarz, 79, passed away Jan. 1st, 1960 in Chicago of a heart attack.

 

Anna Tomtvzyk was born July 10, 1881 in Janow, Poland.  In 1900 she married John Piekarz in Janow, Poland and in 1913 they came to the United Sates and settled in South Chicago until 1914, when they moved to the Gilman area and farmed in the town of Ford.  Mr. Piekarz passed away on Aug. 30, 1945.

 

Mrs. Piekarz laid in state at the Richards Funeral Home in Chicago until Jan. 3 when she was brought to Gilman.  Funeral services were held on Jan. 5 with Father Novakowski of Chicago, officiating.  Burial was in Meadow Brook Cemetery, Gilman.

 

She is survived by 5 sons, Stanley, Theodore and Felix of Chicago, Bill of Seattle, Wash., Julian of Gilman, one daughter Jean of Chicago, one sister, Mrs. Pauline Chapple of Milwaukee, 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

 

Pallbearers were Joe Paulick, John Podalak, Victor Chaplinski, Frank Horvath, Frank Kowasczyk, Florian Burzinski.
