Wall, Floyd G. (10 March 1891 - 10 December 1965)

 

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon from the Georgas Funeral Home for Floyd G. Wall, 74, of Neillsville, who died here Friday. The Rev. W. C. Koehler of the United Church of Christ officiated, with burial in the Neillsville City Cemetery.

 

Mr. Wall was born March 10, 1891, in Evansville, where he attended school.  On October 30, 1913, he was married to the former Anita Winters in Evansville.  They came to Neillsville in 1932, residing here until 1942, when they moved to Chippewa Falls.  Mr. Wall was employed by the U. S. Rubber Co. in Eau Claire until 1956, when he retired.  They returned to Neillsville in 1957, where the family has resided since.

 

He had been in failing health for the last two years.  He was a member of the Neillsville Methodist Church.

 

He is survived by his wife; two sons, Wayne of West Palm Beach, Fla., and Donald of Rio.  Other survivors are a sister, Mrs. Leslie (Daisy) Smith of Evansville; three brothers, Victor, Burton and Lyle Wall, all of Evansville; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

 

"The Old Rugged Cross" and "Beyond the Sunset" were sung by Ellis Wall, accompanied by Mrs. Jess W. Scott.

 

Pallbearers were: Jack Urban, Ellis Wall, Jimmy Vincent, Leland Dopp, Ray Leitikow and Jerry Wall.

 

Those from out of town attending the service were: Wayne Wall of West Palm Beach, Fla.; Burton and Victor Wall of Evansville; Mr. and Mrs. C. S. Franklin of Evansville; Mr. and Mrs. Donald Wall, Jerry Wall, and MR. and Mrs. Ray Leitikow of Rio; Mr. and Mrs. Leland Dopp of Marshfield; Mrs. Carl Krause, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Short and Mrs. Elmer Kapfer of Granton.
