York Center (6 October 1911)

Rain, rain, and still more rain!  It is rather discouraging for farmers who are trying to cut corn.

Wm. Benedict and wife were at the county seat Thursday and enjoyed the nice rain.

Miss Cleo Daughhetee is working for Mrs. Wella Beecher.

Orin Lawrence has purchased a new separator.

Melvin Lawrence and Vernon Rowe spent Sunday evening at the home of Abie Turner.

Miss Gertrude Rogers is attending the Loyal High School.

Byron Basset lost a valuable cow Tuesday. The cause of death was thought to be eating too much clover.

F. W. Ferris made a trip to Neillsville Saturday after a corn binder.

Wm. Campbell took a load of potatoes over to Bert Hales, to store in the cellar as Will intends to move in the near future.

Mr. and Mrs. Richard Free were up from Neillsville, Sunday.
