Well Known Colby Man Dies Sept. 18

Member of Clark County Board of Supervisors and Prominent in the Business Circles of Colby.

 

Hugo Krepsky, aged 60, a prominent business man of Colby, died last Thursday afternoon at his home.  Mr. Krepsky had been in poor health for several months.  He was a member of the Clark County Board of Supervisors.  Deceased was born in Sheboygan March 29, 1881 and came to Colby in 1891 with his parents, the late Mr. and Mrs. A. F. Krepsky, who had been engaged in the hardware business.  In 1910 Hugo Krepsky, L. W. Frane and W. H. Pinney formed a corporation and took over the business, the elder Krepsky retiring.  The firm continued in business about 10 years, when Mr. Krepsky took over the business known as the Colby Hardware Co.  He was also in the automobile business.

 

Mr. Krepsky had been a member of the Clark County Board of Supervisors for nine years, representing the Second Ward of Colby, had been a member of the county Welfare committee, and also served the city of Colby as alderman for several terms.
