Fasnacht, Angeline L. (7 MAY 1960)

 

Miss Angeline Lucille Fasnacht became the bride of Chester Thomas Kosik on Saturday, May 7, 1960 at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Gilman.  Father Dzurko officiated at the ten o’clock ceremony.

 

Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Fasnacht, Gilman, Wis., and Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Kosik, Thorp (Clark Co.), Wis.

 

Chantilly lace over sway gay taffeta styled the floor length bridal gown.  Sequins and seed pearls enhanced the scalloped Sabrina neckline of the fitted Basque.  Long traditional tapered sleeves pointed up the bouffant skirt with lace panels framing the side, tiers alternating in scalloped lace and gossamer sheer tulle.  He princess crown of pearls and sequins held her veil of French imported silk illusion.  Her flowers were of orchids and stephanotis.

 

Miss Carol Fasnacht was her sister’s maid of honor.  Bridesmaids were Miss Alice Giwojna, cousin of the bride, Miss Arlene Kosik, sister of the groom, and Miss Esther Leech, friend of the bride.  Miss Patricia Jaworek, nice of the groom, was flower girl.

 

The bride’s attendants wore waltz length dresses of blue velveray nylon sheer with scoop neckline and full gathered skirts.  Matching pearl trimmed crowns held their blush veils.  Each carried bouquets of white and blue carnations.  The flower girl wore a floor length gown of white velveray over taffeta with delicate tiers gracing the bouffant skirt.  A dainty sequin Swedish crown secured her blush veil.  Her basket of flowers were of pink and white daisies.

 

Attending the groom were Edward Kosik, Thorp, brother of the groom, Robert Fasnacht, Gilman, brother of the bride, and John Barth Jr., Thorp, friend of the groom.  James Kosik, nephew of the groom, was ring bearer.

 

The dinner and supper for 450 guests was held at St. Hedwig’s Parish Hall with a dance held there also.

 

The bride, a 1958 graduate of Gilman High School, is a dental assistant for Dr. Dietzler of Thorp, and the groom attended Thorp High School and is employed at Ace Oil in Thorp.

 

After a wedding trip to the southern part of Wisconsin, the couple is at home in Thorp.

 

Guests from out of town attending the wedding were from Chicago, Milwaukee, Menasha, St. Paul, Rhinelander, Ladysmith, Withee, Wausau, Stanley and Owen.
