Struensee, Dale J. (18 FEB 1936 - 15 APR 2012)

 

Dale J. Struensee, 76, town of Levis, rural Neillsville, died April 15, 2012, at Ministry Saint Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 19 at Buchanan Funeral Home, Neillsville, with burial in Dells Dam Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until service time on Thursday at the funeral home.

Dale was born Feb. 18, 1936, in the town of Grant, Clark County, to Joseph and Mildred (Strebing) Struensee Jr. He was employed in farming, logging, mossing, and harvesting cranberries. 

He also worked construction.

Dale was married to Barbara Krosinski. She preceded him in death. Dale and Lois (Yarrington) Richtmyre were married Oct. 30, 1970, in Neillsville. He was then working in iron mining and farmed in the town of Hewett.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing and travel.

Dale is survived by his wife, Lois, of rural Neillsville; children: Sandy (Bill) High, Condon, Ore., Duane Struensee and Sarah Struensee, both of rural Neillsville, Daniel Struensee, Woodland Park, Colo., Brian (Sheri) Richtmyre, Ham Lake, Minn., Jeff (Kim) Richtmyre, Tumwater, Wash., and Kevin (Susan) Struensee, Greenwood; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He is further survived by his siblings: Robert Struensee, Neillsville, Shirley Bryan, Tullahoma, Tenn., Alice Zalasko, Clintonville, Warren (Mary Jane) Struensee, town of Levis, Darrell Struensee, town of Levis, Carol (James) Kasun, Cedarburg, and Floyd (Carol) Struensee of the town of Levis.
