Harycki, Susan (13 AUG 1960)

The Rev. Hebert Hoffmann officiated at the wedding Saturday, Aug. 13, 1960 of Miss Susan Harycki and Robert Tennessen in St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, Thorp.  The 9:30 a.m. nuptial mass was sung by Miss Juliana Tennessen and Mrs. Norbert Gansen.

Mr. and Mrs. John Harycki of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), and Mr. and Mrs. Herman Tennessen of Ladysmith are the bridal couple’s parents.  Mr. Harycki presented his daughter in marriage.

White Phadaenoppsis orchids were carried by Miss Harycki as she appeared for her wedding in a silk organza over skinner’s bouquet taffeta gown.  It was styled in floor length with a sweetheart neckline embossed with satin roses and short shirred sleeves which highlighted the fitted Basque.  Vertical appliques of satin roses enhanced the bouffant skirt, the back being detailed with a bow and chapel train.  Her veil of silk illusion was fashioned with a satin bow.

Bridal aides were Mrs. Richard Young, sister of the bride, matron of honor, and Miss Rosanne Conway, Miss Mary Jane Cummins and Mrs. William Huber, bridesmaids.  Susan Jane Young was flower girl.  They wore champagne silk organza over skinner’s bouquet taffeta dresses bound with satin and all carried ivory colored Fugi mums.

Charles Tennessen, best man, and William Peterson, Dan Wielgus and Don Hilgendorf, groomsmen, were the groom’s attendants.  Ushers were John Harycki and Richard Young.

An afternoon reception for 200 guests was held at the home of the bride’s parents.  The young couple will make their home in Muskego, where Mr. Tennessen will teach at the Muskego High School.
