Rogalski, Mr./Mrs. Joseph (Gold - 13 SEP 1960)

On Saturday, Aug. 27th, 1960, the children of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Rogalski honored their parents with a reception on the occasion of their Golden Wedding Anniversary.

A Mass of Thanksgiving was celebrated by the Rev. F. Disher at 10:00 a.m. at St. Hedwig’s Catholic Church.  The Altar was decorated with beautiful yellow gladiolas appropriate for the occasion.

Immediately after Mass dinner was served to all relatives and out of town guests.  The main table was decorated with beautiful flowers and a four tiered wedding cake.  After dinner, a short program was conducted by F.J. Frysiek, as son-in-law toastmaster.  The Rev. Disher spoke, congratulating the Jubilarians on this happy occasion.  Next the mayor of the city of Thorp, Mr. J. Tobola expressed congratulations from the city of Thorp and also Thaddeus Kosciuszko Lodge 646 of the P.N.A., of which he is president.  The third speaker introduced was Mrs. Frances Neiman, who extended greetings and congratulations from the St. Paul Society of the P.R.C.U.  The toastmaster concluded the program by extending sincere congratulations and best wishes from all the children and grandchildren of the Jubilarians.

For the occasion, Mrs. Rogalski wore a light blue nylon lace dress with white accessories and a white orchid.  Mr. Rogalski wore a navy suit with a golden boutonniere.

At 6 o’clock a dinner was served to 250 relatives, friends and neighbors at the P.N.A. Hall.  The hostesses for the occasion were Mrs. Frances Neiman and Mrs. A. Norysewicz.  Highlight of the evening was the original wedding gown wore by Mrs. Rogalski fifty years ago, which was modeled by a granddaughter, Miss Reta Johnson.  All five children and their families were present for the happy occasion.  They are: Mrs. J. (Lillian) Johnson and daughters of Superior, Wis.; Mr. and Mrs. Edward Rogalski of Schiller Park, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. F.J. (Nettie) Frysiek and sons of Philadelphia, Pa.; Mr. and Mrs. R. (Clara) Lendosky and sons of Milwaukee, Wis.; and Mr. and Mrs. Henry Rogalski and children of Thorp.

Joseph Rogalski took Miss Josephine Mycon for his bride Sept. 13, 1910 at St. Hedwig’s Church.  They were united in marriage by Rev. F. Pudlo.  They farmed in the town of Reseburg (Clark Co., Wis.) for 42 years, and in 1951 retired to the city of Thorp, the farm now being operated by their son Henry and family.  Other out of town relatives and friends attending were: Mrs. Mary Rogalski and son Leonard of Chicago, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. Ed Jankowski and children of Mount Prospect, Ill.; Mrs. Constance Izydorek, Mr. and Mrs. H. Kierzkowski and son Jack of Chicago, Ill.; Mrs. M. Lendosky of Detroit, Mich.  Other guests were from Owen, Withee, Stanley, Gilman, and Thorp.
