Funeral services for Fred Clouse, 75, were held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church with Rev. V.A. Ganz officiating. Burial was made in Pine Grove Cemetery.

Mr. Clouse died at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 21, 1962 in Memorial Hospital at Neillsville where he had been a patient since December 9. The body was in state at the Myre Funeral Home from Friday morning until noon Saturday when it was taken to the church.

Pallbearers were Harold Gardner, Walter Radue, Walter Bredlau, Heber Hinkelman, Arnold Stumpner and George Dahl. Helen, Carol and Beatrice Noeldner sang “Heaven is My Home,” and “My God and I.” Organist was Carol Noeldner.

Mr. Clouse was born April 26, 1886 in the Town of Loyal where he was educated and operated a farm. In 1942 he moved to the Town of beaver and operated a farm until his illness. He married the former Clara Wittlinger on Sept. 29, 1909 at Loyal. She died Dec. 28, 1961. The couple celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in 1959. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.

He is survived by five sons, Hugh, Cedar Rapids, Iowa; Allan, Waukesha; Glen, Loyal; Alvin, Des Moines, Iowa and James Gadsden, Alabama; two daughters, Mrs. Clarence (Maybelle) Lakosky, Ojus, Florida, and Mrs. Alden (Ethel) Hardrath, Owen; 18 grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Eudora Dunn, Neillsville; Mrs. Lizzie Kadolph, Loyal and Mrs. Lawrence Bowman, Merrillan, and two brothers, Ernest Clouse, Merrillan and Wallace Clouse, Wausau.

Besides his wife, he was preceded in death by three sons, a daughter and a sister.

Rapids; Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Schroeder, Eau Claire; Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Clouse, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Bowman, Merrillan; Mrs. Eudora Dunn, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Bertz, Neillsville; Mr. and Mrs. Vern Wittlinger and family, Mr. and Mrs. Julius Lang, Jr., Abbotsford; Mr. and Mrs. Alden Hardrath, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Hardrath, Mr. and Mrs. Harley Hardrath, Mr. and Mrs. Otto Becker, Mr. and Mrs. Julius Lang, Sr., Owen; Mr. and Mrs. Dave Vanderhoof, Marshfield; Mr. and Mrs. Ed Ertl, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Ayers, Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Ayers, Unity; Mr. and Mrs. William Rahm, Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Ertl, Mrs. Amelia Jennie, Spencer; Mr. and Mrs. Robert Jackson, Greenwood.
