Helen E. Frasier, 94, Greenwood, formerly of Ashland, died on Monday, Oct. 15, 2012, at the Clark County Health Care Center, Owen. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. at the Frost Home for Funerals, Ashland. Burial will follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Frost Home for Funerals, on Friday, from noon until time of service.

Helen Elvera Poppe was born on June 1, 1918, in Highbridge, the daughter of Oscar and Martha (nee Gorr) Poppe. She was raised and received her education in the Highbridge area. After completing her education, Helen worked at Ashland Dye Works for a short time. She married Eldore Kubley, in Ashland, and they later divorced. Helen then married Norman Sterland, and he died in February 1968. In 1972, she married Raymond Frasier, and he died on Dec. 18, 1996. In 1997, Helen moved to Greenwood to be closer to her family. She lived in Greenwood until entering the Clark County Health Care Center on March 30, 2006. She had many interests, but especially enjoyed spending time with her family, quilting and cooking.

She will be dearly missed by her children, Janice Stewart, New London, New Lisbon, Judithe (Bruce) Ellis, Cumming, Ga., and Kevin (Vickie) Sterland, Greenwood; eight grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; one sister, Dorie Kruzan, Ashland; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Norman Sterland and Raymond Frasier; one daughter, Colleen Tolson; one sister, Hazel Johnston; and five brothers, Ervin, Walter, Arthur, Richard and Edward Poppe.
