Jack Frost has done the mischief Monday morning and Tuesday morning. Everything is ripe a little too early and corn cutting has commenced.

The school building has been plastered and is finished so far that school can begin next week.

Geo. Waterman and Harry Eide have their cement walks finished and the town has finished the crossing at Harry Eide's corner.

Joe Hutt is hauling sand and stone to build a cellar for his house.

The Elevator has a chimney built which is the highest 6 brick chimney for a good many miles around here, about 55 ft. high. Ike Rogers, the boss of the job, looked quite small when he was on the top scaffold. He felt a good deal safer when he had the last brick laid and the scaffold taken down.

Mr. and Mrs. Louis Christenson were here this week visiting old friends and acquaintances. Everybody is glad to see him. He used to own and operate the heading and stave mill here about 10 years ago. He is now running a general store at Redville, which no doubt in a few short years will develop to be quite a business enterprise with Louis as manager. His experience in his life in the mill business has given him opportunity to study the needs of living.

The potato house is going to do business this year and is ready to receive potatoes now any time, paying the highest market prices. Early Triumphs are ready to be sold any time now and are wanted immediately.

A.W. Wendorf, T.J. Harriman and Geo. Selk went fishing to the mouth of East Fork Sunday, starting out at 3:30 a.m. and returning late in the evening.
