Kramer, Emma L. (5 DEC 1885 - 2 FEB 1963)

Funeral services for Mrs. Conrad Kramer, 77, of Marshfield, formerly of Abbotsford, who died at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield, Saturday, were held at Christ Lutheran Church at Abbotsford Tuesday afternoon.

Mrs. Kramer, who made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Claude Castner, ahs been in poor health for several years, and was a patient at the hospital for the past two weeks.

During the services, conducted at 2:30 p.m. by the Rev. F.H. Sprengler, Miss Dorothy Kieser and Mrs. Weldon Brown Jr. sang "Asleep in Jesus" and "Abide with Me." Interment was made in the Abbotsford Cemetery.

Six grandsons served as pallbearers.

The former (Emma) Louise Wuest was born Dec. 5, 1885 in Germany and came with her parents to America when she was 10 years old. The family settled in Dorchester (Clark Co., Wis.), where her marriage to Conrad Kramer took place Jan. 10, 1903.

The Kramers lived in Marshfield and Park Falls, and then in Abbotsford until Mr. Kramer's death Oct. 14, 1960.

Mrs. Kramer was a member of Christ Lutheran Church and its Ladies' Aid Society.

She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Archi (Elsie) Graffunder, Park Falls; Mrs. Edward (Evelyn) Sitzberger and Mrs. Claude (Irene Castner, both of Marshfield, and two sons, Alfred Kramer, Dorchester, and Vilas Kramer, Wis. Rapids.

There are 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two half sisters, Mrs. Fred Daellenbach, Merrillan, and Mrs. Theodore Hoeft, Abbotsford, and two half brothers, William Steinke, Abbotsford, and Arthur Steinke, Colby.

Preceding her in death, besides her husband, were two children, two half sisters, and a half brother.

Among the relatives from a distance who attended the funeral besides all of the children, were Mr. and Mrs. Fred Daellenbach and Mrs. James Foster of Merrillan; Mr. and Mrs. Dan Kramer of Wausau and Mrs. Herman Altman of Butternut.
