Beeckler, E.A. (Fire - 16 SEP 1917)
The E.A. Beeckler family, having trouble with their gasoline lamp Sunday
evening, did not discover that the gasoline had leaked out and saturated the
table cloth and silence cloth beneath for a considerable space until bringing it
a lighted kerosene lamp had the gas laden air flame up and the whole table in a
blaze. Ready hands and quick thinking prevented a bad fire. The blaze
fortunately resulted only in the loss of the table coverings and a broken Lamp.
The lamp was broken by being thrown out of doors.
