The annual meeting of the Lynn Mutual Fire Insurance Co. was held Tuesday with a record breaking attendance.   After the usual business was disposed of the election of directors took the attention of the members for the biggest share of the afternoon.  A change was made on the board of directors this year in as much as Herman Carl of the town of Pine Valley was elected in place of J.W. Short and A.M. Steinwand of Colby in place of A. Huckstead.  At the directors meeting the following officers were elected: Hy Sternitzky, President; P.M. Christensen, Vice Pres.; John. P. Kintzele, Treasurer; Geo. A. Ure, Sec.  The company still continues to prosper, the total number of policies now in force being 4635, amounting to $8,841,929.00.  The total amount of losses paid out by the company last year is $18,315.03.  The next annual meeting will again be held in Granton.  The attendance at the Cyclone Ins. Meeting the next day was rather small and outside of the election of directors no business of importance came before the meeting.  The directors elected: Wm. Schlinsog, Wm. Kurth, and Ernest Sternitzky.  The old officers were re-elected, namely: Henry Sternitzky, President, John Ure, Vice Pres., Ernest Sternitzky, Treasurer, Geo. A. Ure, Sec.  This company now has in force 1650 policies, amounting to $2,684, 071.00. The amount paid out for losses last year is $792.32.  This company has never made an assessment.
