FUNERAL RITES FOR IDA SEEFELDT, 93, SPENCER


Funeral services for Ida Seefeldt, 93, were held Wednesday, June 16, 1976, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Spencer. Rev. William H. Ruhbusch officiated and burial was in the St. John's Lutheran Church Cemetery, North Spencer. Rux Funeral Home of Spencer was in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Seefeldt passed away at the Continental Manor Nursing Home, Abbotsford, on June 13, 1976.


Ida M. Seefeldt was the daughter of the late Carl and Albertiena Ganz Bruss and was born on Oct. 14, 1882, in the Town of Brighton.


She received her education in the Town of Brighton schools and was married to Albert Seefeldt on Feb. 2, 1910, at St. John's Lutheran Church, North Spencer.


The couple farmed in the Town of Unity, Clark County for 34 years. Her husband passed away in July 1944, and Mrs. Seefeldt moved to Spencer.


She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and the Ladies Aid.


A brother, Otto Bruss of Spencer survives. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters and seven brothers.


Pallbearers were Elmer, Willard, Leonard, Martin and Elroy Bruss and Richard Oestreich. Organist was Mrs. Arnold Stelzl.
