AGED CITIZEN PASSES AWAY


John Korback of Greenwood, Clark County, who had been visiting at the home of his son Jacob Korback, twelve miles north of this city since September, died at St. Joseph's Hospital in Dodgeville at 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 24, 1917, of kidney trouble at the age of 67 years.


Mr. Korback was born in Germany, July 5, 1850. He was united in marriage in his native country to Miss Annie Eberle in January 1877. They came to America in 1890 and settled in the town of Dodgeville, where he remained until he moved to Greenwood a few years ago. He leaves to mourn, his wife and four sons, Jacob of the town of Dodgeville, John and Nicholas of the town of Wyoming and Peter of Greenwood.


The funeral was held at the Pleasant Ridge Catholic Church at 11 a.m. on Saturday, conducted by Rev. Fr. A. Ambauen Ph. D. Interment was made in the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery. (Dodgeville Chronicle)
