DOUGLAS LUTHER, 53


GREENWOOD--Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Schram's Funeral Home in Merrill for Douglas Luther, 53, Merrill, a former Greenwood, Clark County resident, who died Sunday morning, Mar. 11, 1973 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield, where he had been a patient for the past week. He had also been hospitalized at Merrill for a week.


The Rev. David Logue, pastor of the Zion United Church of Christ in Greenwood, will officiate, and burial will be made at 2:30 p.m. in the Greenwood Cemetery. Graveside military rites will be conducted by the Wallis-Hinker Legion Post 238 of Greenwood.


Mr. Luther was born Jan. 30, 1920 in Greenwood and had been an employee of the railroad for 25 years.


On Aug. 3, 1942, at Texas, he was married to the former Eldora Kuester, who survives him. After their marriage they had lived in Junction City, until moving to Dancy and then to Merrill three years ago.
