Death of Mrs. S. R. Miner


Mrs. S.R. Miner died at her home in this city Sep. 1, 1910, after lying unconscious from the previous day from a stroke of apoplexy.


Deceased whose maiden name was Susan Hewett, was born at Minerva, Essex County, NY, October 13, 1846. She came to Neillsville with her parents in 1865. In 1867 she was married to S. R. Miner (Samuel) and they have made this city their home ever since. To them were born four children one, Mary, died in infancy the others are as follows: Mrs. Ida Van Ryzin, Mrs. Gertrude mews, and Mrs. Mildred Theobald. Deceased leaves also one sister, Mrs. Jane Gates. James Hewett was a brother. Mrs. Miner is another of the good old pioneers that is gone. She was a woman that possessed those traits that make up the good wife and mother and homemaker.

 

The funeral was held at the home Saturday Rev. Hendren of Greenwood officiating.
