STANLEY RAIK


Stanley Raik, 79, former Greenwood, Clark County resident, died Wednesday, May 26, 1993, at the Clark Conty Health Care Center, Owen. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 29, 1993, at Rinka Funeral Home, Greenwood. Sister Delrey Rudnick officiated. Burial was in the Greenwood Cemetery, along with his wife's cremains. Pallbearers were Ed, Luke and Rich Yurkovich, Dennis Sischo, Dale Wolf, and Larry Dallman.


Stanley Raik was born Feb. 6, 1914, in Sheboygan, to Joseph and Antonia (nee Basch) Raik. He received his education in Sheboygan. He married Mary Jelercic June 16, 1961, in Oklahoma. She preceded him in death. He farmed in Greenwood for many years and then owned a tavern in Greenwood and managed the Greenwood American Legion. He worked at Pathfinders Mobilehome Construction in Spencer, and later retired from Greenwood Homes, Greenwood. He was a volunteer fireman for the Greenwood Fire Department and was the Chief of Police in Greenwood at one time.


Survivors include nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.


He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents, and two sisters.


Rinka Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
