Flower, George (March 1881 - 25 Jun 1908)

GEO. FLOWER DROWNS

The friends and relatives of Geo. Flower were sadly shocked last Thursday, June 25, 1908 at the news of his death by drowning. He was following his trade of an engineer in a saw mill thirteen miles west of Medford, Wis. He had gone out to assist in pushing the logs on the pond when he fell, striking his head in such a manner as to make him unconscious. He was quickly missed and soon recovered from the water, but all efforts to restore life were of no avail.

Mr. Flower was a son of J. W. Flower of the town of Unity, Clark County. He leaves a young wife, father, mother, four sisters and two brothers to mourn his loss. The funeral was held Sunday afternoon from the M. E. Church at Unity. The services were conducted jointly by the Rev. Christianson of Spencer and the local lodge of E.F.U., of which he was a member.
