OBITUARY OF JULIUS SORENSON


Julius Sorenson
for many years a resident of Longwood, Clark County, passed away Monday Dec. 12th, 1932.


Julius Sorenson was born in Oslo, Norway, July 11, 1858. He was confirmed in the Lutheran Church there and on May 17, 1879 was married to Miss Marie Davidson. They started immediately for America, coming to Longwood, Wis. and have made that their home ever since. Mrs. Sorenson preceded him in death, Dec. 3, 1924.


To this union were born eight children, Carl and Henry on the home farm, Cecelia (Mrs. Louis Jackson) of Longwood Julia (Mrs. R.C. Erickson) of Neenah Jennie (Mrs. H. A. Jorenby) of Hillsdale. Three children preceded him in death, John Hilda and Amy (Mrs. Melvin Erickson).


He is also survived by eleven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. Oline Hansen of Stevens Point and Mrs. Stine Nelson of Marshfield, two brothers, Nels and Martin Sorenson of Longwood.


Funeral services were held Wednesday from the home at 1:30 p.m. and the Longwood Lutheran Church at 2:00 o'clock, Rev. M.K. Aaberg officiating. Burial was made in the church cemetery.
