MRS. FRED LEEMAN PASSES AWAY


Mrs. Leeman
, nee Ernestine Norton, was born in Springfield, Maine, Fbe. 20, 1857. She moved with her family to Brunswick, Minn., in Oct. 1868.


Her first marriage was to Richard Davidson in 1876. Four children were born to this union, Mrs. Chalres (Clarissa) Poppe, Longwood Eugene Davidson, Green, Pa. Charles Davidson, Virginia, Minn. and Andrew Davidson, Texas.


Mr. Davidson died in 1892. Several years later she was married to Fred Leeman and lived on a farm in Michigan, later she lived with her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Poppe in Longwood, Clark County. Mr. Leeman died in the spring of 1938.
Mrs. Leeman passed away at 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 7, 1939 at the Poppe home, Town of Longwood. She had been in ill health for the past 12 weeks and her illness became acute three weeks ago.


Funeral services were held at 2:00 o'clock Friday afternoon at the Funeral Home at Owen, Rev. E.G. Pfeiffer of the local Reformed Church officiated. The body was laid to rest in the Riverside Cemetery at Withee.
