OBITUARY OF MRS. CLARA E. FRICKE
Mrs. Clara E. Fricke passed away Tuesday morning, Nov. 18, 1941 at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Leland Forman, Minneapolis.
She was born in South Whitley, Indiana June 22, 1872 and came to Clark County when a child. She taught in the schools of the county until her marriage to Oscar Fricke, May 5, 1895. When Mr. Fricke was made Register of Deeds the family moved from this city to Neillsville. Mrs. Fricke worked in the office with her husband until his death in 1911.
She was a member of the Presbyterian Church at Neillsville and one of the early members of the Monday Progress Club there.
Although she has made her home of late years with her daughter, she maintained a keen interest in this locality, and until last year always spent the summer months here and at Neillsville. She was a great lover of nature and her happiest moments were those spent out in the open.
She is survived by her daughter and granddaughter, Marcia and a sister and brother.
Funeral services were held at Neillsville Friday, Nov. 21, Rev. Obed Asp officiating. Interment was in the Greenwood Cemetery beside her husband.
