ADOLPH MEYER DIES ON SUNDAY
RITES ON WEDNESDAY FOR GREENWOOD MAN

Greenwood Funeral services for Adolph W. Meyer, 79, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Zion Evangelical and Reformed Church here.

Mr. Meyer died at his home in Greenwood, Clark County at 1:10 a.m. Sunday, Mar. 13, 1950 following a lingering illness caused by a heart condition and complications.

Burial will be made in the Greenwood Cemetery, the Rev. B. M. Fresenborg officiating. The body is in repose at the Schiller Funeral Home and will remain there until noon Tuesday when it will be taken to the Meyer home.

Wednesday noon it will be taken to the church to remain until time of services.

Mr. Meyer was born in Germany April 5, 1870 and came to this country with his parents at the age of 5. They first settled in Sheboygan County, and came to Greenwood in 1895.

On May 31, 1899, he was married to the former Caroline Soefker at Greenwood. The couple celebrated their golden wedding anniversary last year. For many years Mr. Meyer was engaged in the lumber business, later worked as a teamster, and for 15 years was employed as janitor of the Greenwood Public School.

Surviving are his wife, three sons, Gilbert, Greenwood Orlando, Cameron and Elmer, Chicago and three grandchildren. A brother and sister preceded him in death.
