VIVODA FUNERAL

Greenwood--Funeral services for Mrs. George Vivoda, 62, who died Nov. 10, 1946, were held Nov. 13 at the Schiller Funeral home in Greenwood beginning at 2 p.m. The rites were in charge of officers and graces of Forest Queen Camp No. 2710, Royal Neighbors of America, of which organization Mrs. Vivoda had been a member the past 29 years. Members of the local lodge attended the funeral in a body.

Those who conducted the services were Mrs. George Haeuser, Mrs. O. J. Amundson, Mrs. Frances Hinker, Mrs. Frank Drake, Mrs. Chal Perkins, Mrs. Irving Sherman, Mrs. Otto Voie, Mrs. Walter Swieso, and Mrs. James McConnell. Burial was made in the Greenwood Cemetery.

During the services Mrs. Albert Dahl and Mrs. Louis Behrens accompanied by Mrs. Don Warner, sang In the Garden and It Is Well With My Soul. Pallbearers were William and Frank Abel, Louis Zorman, Matt Bombach, John Vershay, and Joseph Ulesich. Flowers were carried by Mrs. Lawrence Cox, Mrs. Wilbur Stewart, Mrs. Minnie Cox, and Mrs. Alma Mason.

People from away who attended the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Vivoda, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Vivoda and family, and Mr. and Mrs. Tony Katzian, all of Chicago Mr. and Mrs. George Vivoda and family, Hersey and Mrs. Rose Brussow and daughter, Shirley, Loyal.

Mary (Katzian) Vivoda was born Aug. 8, 1884 in Yugoslavia. When she was 22 she came to Chicago, where she was married in 1907 to George Vivoda. She and her husband came to Greenwood in 1915 and settled on a homestead in the Town of Hendren, Clark County, where they resided since.

Surviving besides her husband are four sons, George Jr., Hershey Josephan d Frank, Chicago and Henry, at home one brother, Tony Katzian, Chicago and three grandchildren.
