HARVEY E. SISCHO


Greenwood--Harvey E. Sischo, 30, who was injured in an automobile accident Aug. 8, 1945, died as a result of those injuries at 8:45 o'clock Friday evening, June 20, 1947 at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield, where he had been taken the day before. He had a fractured back, seven fractured ribs, both hip bones fractured, and a punctured lung, and had been paralyzed below the hips.


The body is lying in state at the Stabnow Funeral Home and funeral rites will be conducted Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at Grace Methodist Church by the Rev. Lee Holmes. Burial will be made at Greenwood.


Harvey Edward Sischo, son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Sischo, Greenwood, Clark County, with whom he had been living for a month before being hospitalized at Marshfield, was born at Greenwood Jan. 25, 1917, attended Greenwood Public Schools, and was married at Wausau in 1937 to Ella Knapp. When a young man he had sung in the Greenwood Choir.


Surviving are Mrs. Sischo, Wausau his parents of Greenwood and four children, Joan, 10, Carol, 5 Harvey Jr., 3 and Roger, 17 months.


His brothers and sisters are Merrill Sischo, Wausau Mrs. Charles (Alma) Hare, Greenwood Mrs. Roy (Orah) Richardson, Harurch, N.D. Leo Sischo, Neillsville Mrs. Melvin (Altah) Thomas, Greenwood and Mrs. Marvin (Nina) Engle, Spencer. Another brother, Sidney, preceded him in death.
