HILDA QUAST


Hilda Quast, 80, of West Allis, died Friday, Jan. 22, 1988. She had been a resident at the Mount Carmel Nursing Home. Funeral services were held Monday, Jan. 25 at 1 p.m. at Mount Hope Lutheran Church, of which she was a member. Rev. Harold Usgaard officiated. Donna Olson of Greenwood provided music. Serving as pallbearers were Larry and Lon Sisson, Tom and Bob Quast, Tom Hett and Tom Craft.


Hilda Dyre was born March 10, 1907 at Greenwood, Clark County to Annie and John Dyre. She was a 1924 graduate of Greenwood High School, and also graduated from Eau Claire Normal School. She taught for several years at the Uncle Sam School.


On Oct. 22, 1929, she married Martin Quast of Globe and lived in Greenwood and Eau Claire. In 1956, they moved to West Allis.


Survivors include her husband one daughter, Beverly Sisson of Eagle, Wis. on son, Allan of Whitewater six grandchildren four great-grandchildren and one brother, Godfrey Dyre of Greenwood.


Preceding her in death were her parents, two brothers and one sister.
