JOHN ZAGOZEN


John Zagozen, 81, Greenwood, Clark County, died Friday, Dec. 20, 1991, at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield. The body will be cremated and the ashes interred in the Willard Cemetery.


John Zagozen was born Feb. 20, 1910, in Ely, Minn. He received his education at Willard School. He moved with his parents from Rico, Colo., in 1913 to Willard. He married Angela Luzovec Dec. 31, 1942, in Neillsville. She preceded him in death in 1981. He farmed until 1943. He then purchased the Chevrolet Garage in partnership with John Luzovec in 1943. He resided in Willard until 1949, when the family moved to Greenwood. After selling the garage, he joined Clark Electric in 1956. For many years he served as a City of Greenwood Alderman and was also on the Clark County Board of Supervisors. He was a member of S.N.P.J.


Survivors include one son, John Zagozen Jr., Greenwood; one daughter, Judy Zagozen Long, Philadelphia, Pa.; and three grandchildren.


He was preceded in death by his wife his parents and two sisters, Rose Fischer and Anne Bugrave.


Rinka Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
