Sather, Mable (1912 - 1962)

 


GREENWOOD--Mrs. Ole Sather, 50, West Allis, formerly of Greenwood, Clark County, died at 5 p.m. Tuesday at the Minnesota University Heart Center following open heart surgery that day. She entered the hospital Sept. 17.


Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at Grace Methodist Church here. The Rev. Gene Carlson will officiated and burial will be made in the Greenwood Cemetery.


Friends may call at the Hill Funeral Home from Friday afternoon until 11 a.m. Saturday, when the body will be taken to the church.


The former Mable McConnell was born Aug. 5, 1912, in Greenwood. The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert McConnell, who reside in Greenwood. She was a 1931 graduate of the local high school.


She was married June 13, 1953, in Milwaukee, to Ole Sather. The couple lived in Milwaukee for a short time after their marriage, then moved to Greenwood and lived here until three years ago, when they returned to the Milwaukee area. Mrs. Sather was a member of Grace Methodist Church.


Survivors include here husband, a stepson, the Rev. Gordon Sather, Louisville, Ky.; two grandchildren, her parents, a brother, Ray McConnell, Beloit; and a sister, Mrs. Arno Hubert, Milwaukee.
