Ackerman, Raymond A. (1924 - 1966)


GREENWOOD--Services were conducted Dec. 17 at the Reigle Funeral Home in Flint, Mich., for Raymond A. (Bud) Ackerman, 42, a former resident of Greenwood, who died of a heart attack Dec. 14, at Flint. Burial was made in Grace Lawn Cemetery in Flint.


Mr. Ackerman was born at Neillsville, Clark County on March 8, 1924, and later moved with his parents to Greenwood, where he graduated for high school with the class of 1942. Following graduation, he was employed as a truck driver for the John Wuethrich Creamery Company here until entering service on Jan. 18, 1943.


Following his discharge on Jan. 3, 1946, he was again employed by the John Wuethrich Company until 1951, when he moved to Flint, Mich, and was employed as a truck driver for the Automobile Carriers, Inc.


Survivors are his wife, the former Bessie Darnell two sons, Dennis Ackerman and Gary Ackerman, a daughter, Mrs. Dennis (Janice) Musgraves, all of Flint, Mich.; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lee Jolivette, Greenwood; two step-brothers, Dale Jolivette, Greenwood; and Norbert Jolivette, Jewell, Iowa; and a sister, Mrs. Donald (Elaine) Schwan, Loyal.
