Bizjak, August (1907 - 1967)


GREENWOOD, CLARK COUNTY--Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at the Hill Funeral Home here for August Bizjak, 59, route 1, Loyal, who died Tuesday, Feb. 7, 1967 in St. Joseph's Hospital at Marshfield. The Rev. David Logue, pastor of Zion-Immanuel United Churches of Christ, will officiate, and burial will be made in the Greenwood Cemetery.


The body will repose at the funeral home from noon Thursday until time of services.


Mr. Bizjak was born in Indianapolis, Ind., on March 26, 1907, and at an early age came with his parents to Willard. He farmed in the Greenwood area until 1960, when because of Ill health, he retired. Since the, he had made his home with his brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Bizjak, Greenwood, and later with his brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Wehrman, Loyal. He never married.


Mr. Bizjak was a member of the Slovanian National Benefit Society.


Survivors are two brothers, Joe, Greenwood and John, Thorp and three sisters, Mrs. Rose Howard, New York City, N.Y. Mrs. Albert (Agnes) Wehrman, Loyal and Mrs. Norman (Sophie) Reineking, Colby.


He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Karl.
