Olson, Ida Caroline (1887 - 1952)


NEILLSVILLE, CLARK COUNTY--Funeral services for Mrs. Herman Olson, 65, who died at her home Wednesday morning, July 23, 1952, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in the Georgas Funeral Home and at 2 p.m. in Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Greenwood. The Rev. M.S. Egge will officiate, and burial will be made in the Greenwood Cemetery.


Mrs. Olson, the former Ida Caroline, was born Jan. 11, 1887, in Chicago, where she received her education. She was married June 2, 1906, to Herman Olson in Chicago.


Mr. and Mrs. Olson resided in Chicago from 1906 to 1912, when they came to Clark County and located on a farm 3 miles west of Greenwood, which they operated until Mr. Olson was elected sheriff. They had been residents of Neillsville since 1939 and she had been in poor health for the past two years.


She was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church, and the Royal Neighbors of America.


Mrs. Olson is survived by her husband, three daughters, Mrs. Roderick S. (Arline) Lewis, New York City Mrs. Thomas (Ruth) Sugg, Chicago and Mrs. Edward (Lois) Guest, Philadelphia, Pa. two sons, Herbert, New London and Roy, Neillsville five grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Ray Harring, Chicago.


A daughter preceded her in death.
