Stabnow, August F. (1868 - 1953)


GREENWOOD, CLARK COUNTY
--August F. Stabnow, 84, a pioneer resident of Greenwood, died this morning, May 15, 1953 at Sacred Heart Hospital, Eau Claire, where he had been a patient the past two week.


The body is at the Stabnow Funeral Home. Funeral arrangements have not been completed.


Mr. Stabnow was born Aug. 28, 1868, in North Freedom. His marriage to Rachel Ward took place July 11, 1898, in Cooperstown, N.D. Following their marriage they lived in Cooperstown until in November of that year and then moved to a farm 6 mile northeast of Greenwood.


Survivors include his wife a son, LeRoy, Milan two daughters, Mrs. Vern (Luella) Severson, Greenwood, and Mrs. Vaner (Anna) Lindgren, Owen, and 19 grandchildren.


Two daughters preceded him in death.
