GREENWOOD, CLARK COUNTY The Rev. Aloysius Madic will officiate at funeral services at 9 a.m. Thursday at the Hill Funeral Home here, and at 10 a.m. in Holy Family Catholic Church at Willard for Mrs. Peter Zagar, 63, Willard, who died of pneumonia Monday afternoon in Memorial Hospital at Neillsville, where she had been a patient nine weeks. She had been in poor health the past year. Burial will be made in Holy Family Cemetery.


The body will repose at the Hill Funeral Home beginning Wednesday evening and a rosary service will be held there at 8 p.m. Wednesday.


The former May Glavan was born in Yugoslavia Jan. 16, 1896 and came to America in 1914. On Aug. 11 of that year she was married at Moorhead, Minn., to Peter Zagar. In 1918 they moved from Moorhead to a farm near Willard, where they had lived since.


Surviving are her husband three daughters, Mrs. Matt (Ann) Merlak, and Mrs. Paul (Irene) O'Black, both of Loyal and Mrs. Edward (Elsie) Perko, Willard three sons, Peter Jr., and Frank and Robert, all of Neillsville 16 grandchildren three great-grandchildren, and two brothers, Frank and Louis Glavan, both of Yugoslavia.


On daughter, Mrs. Emil Mech, preceded her in death in 1958.
