Dixon, Ernest (1881 - 1954)
 

GREENWOOD, CLARK COUNTY Ernest M. Dixon, 72, route 3, died at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, March 25, 1954 at his home, 3 miles north of here. He suffered a heart attack three weeks ago.


Mr. Dixon was born June 26, 1881, at Neillsville, where he received his education and was married to Ollie Rand on May 17, 1911. He was employed at the Neillsville Ford Garage and the Musil Garage there. The couple moved 15 years ago to the present farm near Greenwood. He was a member of Grace Methodist Church.


Surviving, beside his wife, are a son, Donald, Dixon, and a grandson, Paul Dixon, at home. Two sisters and a brother preceded him in death.


The body will repose at the Schiller Funeral Home from Saturday until Sunday, when it will be taken to the Dixon home, where funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday. The Rev. Arthur Riley, pastor of Grace Methodist Church, will officiate and burial will take place in the Greenwood Cemetery.
