Vamstad, Agnes (1885 - 1969)
 

GREENWOOD, CLARK COUNTY--Brady Vamstad, 83, Withee, died at 9:30 p.m. Saturday, July 12, 1969, at the Havenet Nursing Home at Owen, where he had been a patient since Dec. 27, 1968.


Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Greenwood. The Rev. Arvid Myhrwold, pastor, will officiate and burial will be made in the Greenwood Cemetery.


Friends may call at the Hill Funeral Home from Tuesday noon until 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, and then at the church.


Mr. Vamstad was born Nov. 1, 1885, in the Town of York in Green County. He was married Feb. 25, 1919, in The Town of Mead in Clark County to Agnes Boe. The couple observed their 50th anniversary in Feb. of this year.


After their marriage they came to the Town of Longwood and farmed there until their retirement 17 years ago, when they moved to Withee. Mr. Vamstad was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church at Greenwood.


Survivors include his wife a daughter, Mrs. Reino (Ruth) Kolpanen, Golden, Colo. two grandchildren two brothers, Oscar and Thorvall, both of Blanchardville, and six sisters, Mrs. Anton (Lena) Hanson, Mrs. Tillie Berg and Mrs. Olaf (Olga) Stenbroten, all of Blanchardville Mrs. Martin (Nellie) Gilbertson, Hollandale Mrs. Morgan (Bertha) Berg, Mount Horeb, and Mrs. Carrie Jorenby, New Glarus.
He was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters.
