Burkhart, Betty (1928 - 1991)


Betty (Knack) Burkhart, died at Maywood University Hospital, Maywood, Ill., March 8, 1991. She had been hospitalized since early Nov. Services were held at the William Funeral Home in West Chicago March 11, 1991.


She was born Dec. 12, 1928, in Split Rock, Wis., daughter of Nora and Otto Knack. She grew up in Clintonville and attended Clintonville Public Schools. She later moved to Loyal with her mother and step-father and graduated from Loyal High School in 1948. She married Donald Gun in 1949 the later divorced. She married George Burkhart in 1963 they lived in West Chicago, Ill.


Survivors include her husband her mother, Nora Thwing, Clintonville a sister, Eleanor Stichman, Billings, Mont. three brothers, Ott, Weyauwega Robert, Bryantown, Maryland and Milton, Loyal and six children, Connie and Pamela, who reside in Florida Cathy and Sandra in Tennessee and Richard and Janet in West Chicago. Grandchildren also survive.


She was predeceased by her father, Otto Knack her step-father, Henry Thwing and a sister, Joan Knack.
