Kolpanen, Alma H. (1906 - 1980)


Funeral services for Alma H. Kolpanen, 74, were at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 5, at Immanuel United Church of Christ.


Mrs. Kolpanen died at the Colonial Home of Colby on Sunday, Nov. 9, 1980, at 12:10 a.m.


Officiating at the service was Rev. Alwyn York. Burial was in the West Side Cemetery. Rinka Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Alma Meinholdt was born in the town of Eaton on March 4, 1906. She received her education at West Eaton School.


She was married on Aug. 22, 1936, in Milwaukee to Wayne Kolpanen. After their marriage they lived in Milwaukee until retiring and moving to Colby in Nov. 1977.


She was a member of Immanuel United Church of Christ.


Surviving her are two brothers, Arthur of Merrillan and Louie of Neillsville.


Pallbearers were Wayne Richmond, Mark Fravert, Gene Reineking, Tom Vollrath, Gary Meinholdt and Lee Meinholdt.


Preceding her in death were her parents, Theodore and Ida (nee Decker) Meinholdt one sister and six brothers.
